The recordings were transferred from the original wax cylinders in Vienna. Each recording is introduced with a number by an unnamed man in German.
They recordings feature a mixture of recitations and Bible readings from Manx speakers. Featured are William Joseph Cain of Onchan, William Cowley of Douglas, Thomas Moore of Port Erin and John Nelson of Ramsey.
