Scope & Content: Track 1: William Moore and his wife talk to Max Sutton about farming. William talks about fetching in the hay with his father. They talk about how they met and courted each other on the farm and the jobs they did on the farm when they were young. Another speaker talks about the first tractor arriving on the farm in 1939. William then talks about his work with horses and how he was a champion plougher at the ploughing matches. Mrs Moore mentions how grandparents spoke Manx Gaelic.
Track 2: Mrs Moore talks about keeping pigs at Close Mooar, including going to Nan Wade in Santon for medicine for piglets. They both recall their memories of John Quine, vicar of Lonan. William talks about Wesleyan Methodism and Baldrine chapel; his role as an Onchan parish commissioner, poor law guardian and on endowment committee. Mrs Moore talks briefly about going to the national school, Ramsey Road.
