Scope & Content: The document is a copy of a letter to Mr Cubbon, Manx Museum from Mr Joughin recalling knowing John Nicholson and Archie Knox - who was Art Master at the Grammar School and took the boys sketching the runic cross at Kirk Braddan. Recalls the Clagues farm at the Nunnery Howe and Wallberry.

currently searching my grandmother's history Emily Bertha Clague born 4 August 1887 to John Clague(1860-1896) & Minnie Putman from England (born 1885 ) of Howe Farm /nunnery. They had 4 other children(John/Jack, Edith, Margaret/Madge, & Thomas) Emily Bertha ,Madge ,Tom, and their mother Minnie emigrated to Manitoba, Canada ABOUT 1912. Tom & Madge then went to Alberta, Canada.Edith & Jack went to live with aunt Lily? after father's death(1896)in England and later at least Edith emigrated to California ,United States - Barb Ashley Report this
