Scope & Content: The document contains detailed information about making butter and selling it in Douglas. Water from the well was used for butter making and later was piped into the house. The well never ran dry. Miss Kaighen recalled her school days at Cronk y Voddy school and she wanted to stay on at school and become a teacher but as she was the elder daughter she was needed at home to help her parents. The house and buildings at Lambfell, built c.1894 are described. Will Cowley her father's uncle did the joinery work. The Driney farm farmed by the Brew's is recalled as is Laurel Bank House, Eary Veg and Eary Mooar.
