Scope & Content: Mr Kewin formerly lived at the Claddagh Mill, Sulby, Lezayre. The Mill was also called Garret's Mill. The building is described. Little trace of the grinding mill although the kiln building was still there. The Kiln floor and drying process described - chimney in the wrong place - building burnt several times - last time 1927 when it closed. Mill used by the smaller farmers and crofters - larger farms would have their own mill. Bees- kept Italian and Manx bees. Griddle - diagrams. Collection of fossils with some flints found mostly by the Sulby river. Hand chopper made by W J Teare, blacksmith of Andreas to chop turnips was given.
