Scope & Content: Description of the Loughan Farms, Jurby East; Jurby East Smithy; Thomas Curphey, joiner at Jurby East had his joiners shop in the whitewashed cottage called Loughan Cottage, at the cross roads. Old photograph of the Garrett Family. the boys are wearing suits of loghtan wool cloth woven by John Lace whose loomshed is in the field by the road side a few yards beyond Mr Garrett's farm. Brick drying sheds are mentioned. Place name Lough Thurse.
