Scope & Content: Genealogical notes for the line of Joseph Creer (baptised in Braddan parish, 1826), a Master Mariner who died in Sydney, Australia in June 1909 after a varied nautical career which included thirty five years as a Sydney pilot. Another seafarer in the family was Edward Creer, Master of the smack Fame who fell overboard and drowned on the way to Liverpool in 1838. His widow, Sarah, married Phillip caine in 1842
