Scope & Content: Demolition of Callister's House in Douglas Street . the image shows the staircase above the front door. Also the window seat and the site of the main hearth which has an arched chimney breast in cut stone. A penny of James II (1688) was found by a workman above first floor level. Some bog oak was used as window lintels (information supplied by Basil Magaw)
