Scope & Content: Jimmy Linskey was a Travelling Marshal at the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy (TT). Here he is seen riding a Triumph UNX 4, one of the first Marshals' motorcycles to be fitted with radio.
The Travelling Marshals are an elite group, who use motorcycles to quickly reach the scene of an incident during a race and check conditions on the course before races start. Most Travelling Marshals are former TT and Manx Grand Prix competitors. Linskey competed in the 1952 TT.
