Cottage of weaver Thomas Lace, Smeale Road, Andreas

Scope & Content: Formerly Knock e Nean Cottage, later Fuchsia Cottage, Smeale Road, Andreas. Located at the top of Ballacunner, not far from the Largagh. Originally a thatched cottage made of shore stone and mud/clay; later a second floor was added using shore stone and mortar. The front of the house was replaced in cavity brick and the house was pebble dashed. In 2021 it is painted white.
Now very much renovated, previously thatched. Opposite parish hall.
