Scope & Content: Loch wears the turban and kurta of a British officer in an Indian Army Cavalry regiment. His cross belt has the numeral XIX and Capt W.Loch was appointed to the 19th Bengal Lancers (Fane's Horse) probably when it was raised in 1860. He held the rank of Captain by 1871. The medal ribbon is probably that of the China War of 1860.
