Scope & Content: On the back of this photograph Frowde writes, 'The quaint cobbled passage into the yard at rear of the Assembly Rooms, with its tidy cottage. The wall of this yard, prior to 1870 stood on the shore. A little further in this route, there is a view of it from the present lane at the rear, with a primitive 'bulnose' to throw back the wares'.
