Scope & Content: On the back of this photograph Frowde writes, 'A view of the Flemish house and the Assembly Rooms in August, 1934. All else gone, between St Barnabas' Church and 'The Parade', as I knew it earlier. One has to feel thankful that at least this alluring fragment of the old town has been allowed to persist, - if only for a time'.
