The Laxey Inn, Douglas
Date(s): 1932-1934
Creator(s): Frowde, John James
Scope & Content: On the back of this photograph Frowde writes, 'The Laxey Inn. A much better one in Route IV. This was a very popular house in by-gone days 'wis the Laxa ones'. So much so, that mine host of the 'King Orry' Inn, 10 New Bond St., changed the name of his pub, for a time, to the 'New Laxey Inn', in the hope of sharing some of the other Inn's business; a hope that was unfulfilled, & the old name was re-adopted'.
