Robert Reginald Scarffe in uniform

Scope & Content: Scarffe lived at King Orry Stores, Laxey. He was an engineer with the IOMSPco and is wearing Royal Naval Reserve uniform here. He was one of the engineers retained by the Royal Navy when the King Orry was requisitioned, and was aboard her when she was sunk at Dunkirk, though he was able to get away into a nearby boat. He left the company after Dunkirk.
