Scope & Content: On the back of this photograph Frowde writes, 'Part of the North Quay. The large house, left centre, was Torrance's in years gone by. Probably the finest Italian warehouse then on the Island. And Torrance was a name 'to swear by.' Several members of the family took a considerable part in public affairs'.
