Scope & Content: On the back of this photograph Frowde writes, 'Inside the arch, South Quay. The top room in the outlet of the house on the Quay (behind the lamp-post) was long the residence of M. Jean Henri Joseph Baume, whose story is so well told in Mrs Forrest's 'Manx Reminiscences'. I think his above tally is one Christian name short of the total'.
