Peel Road, Douglas
Date(s): 1932-1934
Creator(s): Frowde, John James
Scope & Content: On the back of this photograph Frowde writes, 'Mid-winter and a dull day. The 'Brown Bobby' opposite Belmont Terrace, (1938), soon to be taken down in the Peel Road widening scheme. This was a public house in early times, and the scene of a pretty ghastly murder over a century ago. See Mr Forrest's Reminiscences for fuller details'.
