Scope & Content: On the back of this photograph Frowde writes, 'No. 19 New Bond Street nearly down. I was surprised to note that, in this congested area, there at the rear of no. 19 there was a neat grass plot of walls covered with ivy. In the background, men can be seen stripping the roofs of the E. end of the Almshouse Lane. No 21 New Bond Street on R. (mid winter snap)'.
