11 Seneschal Lane, partly demolished, Douglas
Date(s): 1932-1934
Creator(s): Frowde, John James
Scope & Content: On the back of this photograph Frowde writes, 'Mother Pratt's, left distance: described by A.W. Moore (Douglas 100 years ago) as the mother of boarding houses in the town. One branch of the two [tunnels] passing below the tower of St. B. Church passed below the cellar of Mother Pratt's and ended there. Kelly was absolutely certain of that. The broken building where the figures are, was 11 Seneschal Lane and the tunnel passed into its cellar on the S end, leaving at the N end and passing behind the two houses on R'. Additional notes: 'Mother Pratt's in the Laxey Inn Yard'.
