Scope & Content: 'On the back of this photograph Frowde writes, "Looking into the little court behind Fort St. (with primitive bulnose on yard wall. Entrance under the Assembly Rooms next to the stairs - now leading to the knitting factory - up & down which, in earlier days, passed the rank & fashion of the time. And, to quote old Corlat the Tailor of King St. 'Wheer are they now?' Sermon on a Sunday afternoon in the Eighties, in Thomas St. Chapel. Got an extra good one (done PC) of this cobbled area in 1934 in Route 1'.
