Scope & Content: On the back of this photograph Frowde writes, 'Fairy Ground, getting in the two big houses on corner of Bond Lane. Light none too good for the narrow street & high buildings (and October) Anyhow the gloomy lower part hides the fact that all the lower windows are boarded up. This & others on same spool were taken purposely under not very favourable conditions, as a guide as to what I might expect to get when the demolition (& revelation of the cellar portions) of this area gets going in the winters of the next year or two'.
