Scope & Content: On the back of this photograph Frowde writes, 'Harris Promenade, Douglas, shewing flower beds. Women in aprons with baskets of cottage leaves containing amber gooseberries, white and red currents, strawberries, etc. They normally wore what we called sun-bonnets as used by women in the fields on farms then, protecting head, forehead and neck'.
