Landing the motor 'Snaefell II' at Douglas
Date(s): 1904
Scope & Content: On the back of this photograph Frowde writes, 'Snaefell II. Motor racer, one of the early horrific cars here when the children were little, but a bit later than this. They were shapeless as motors, could only go dead slow or at furious speeds (so far as I could judge) and the racket they made was infernal. Landing the motor at Douglas, April 29th 1904. Capt Bridson, Kensington Rd, extreme lower left, now retired - ex 'Viking' for some years - and still 1931 'on deck' '.
