Scope & Content: Copies of extracts from progress sheets charting the development of five month old Irene Jackman, kept by her grandmother Anna Goldschmidt, whilst Irene's interned father Walter was separated from the family at Onchan camp and elsewhere; also photographs of Irene in a pram on the Isle of Man and a postcard of a Douglas bay view sent by Walter to his wife Wera (interned at Rushen camp) mentioning their recent meeting at the Derby Castle, Douglas
Administration / Biographical History: Irene Jackman was born on 7 December 1939, the youngest daughter of Walter and Wera Jackman. During World War 2, Irene was interned along with her mother, older siblings Erika and Gerald and grandmother in Rushen Camp. The married couple met once a month. After 9 months her father Walter was transferred from Onchan camp and joined the family in Rushen Camp.
