Scope & Content: The decorative card was presented to Charlie Cain, cox'n of Peel lifeboat, for assistance to 'St George', wrecked under Contrary Head near Peel in 1889. Presented by Henry Bloom Noble of Villa Marina, Douglas in his capacity as Vice Consul for Sweden and Norway in the Isle of Man on behalf of the Norwegian Government, together with a silver medal as a reward for bravery in saving life from shipwreck.
