Date(s): 1890-1920
Creator(s): Southward, Francis
Scope & Content: Man standing by water pump on Ramsey beach. The pump is being driven by a belt attached to a traction engine during the construction of the baths for Mr. T. This was built on the Abernethy principle of a framed system of creosoted timber filled with rubble stone in between boards and coated over with coal tar and pitch.
