Lambretta hire scooters, Port Erin

Scope & Content: Pat Garrett and John Kelly posing on a Lambretta scooter. They had ridden to Port Erin with some friends on a racing Norton motorcycle. Whilst parked by the biological station, they were approached by Bill Peters the photographer who and asked them would they pose on the scooter. They knew nothing about the publicised appeal for models, didn't get paid for doing it and got a lot of stick from their biking friends for posing on a scooter. This is one of a number of images taken for the Tourist Board. This particular image was used by Lambretta at a bike show at Olympia and was seen by biker friends of Pat and John who were at the show.
