The Queen of the Herring Fleet will be selected at a special dance in the Marine Hall at Peel
...and for the crowning ceremony a dress and train will be provided and the girl selected will receive a £5 voucher. The judges to select the 1961 Queen of the Herring Fleet will be Mr. and Mrs Victor Bernard of BBC fame.'
