'Manx Granite Tempered Ware'

Scope & Content: Illustrated Archaeology MA dissertation submitted to University College Dublin. The dissertation examines the fabric and manufacture of this pottery on the Isle of Man to establish whether the pottery was locally made or imported into the Island and where it originated. The vessel forms, distribution and a proposed chronology of the pottery are included in the study. Examination of approximately 1500 sherds was undertaken. Appendices include sites of Manx tempered ware with Manx Museum reference number and petrological sampling.
