Date(s): 1990

Creator(s): Longworth, Christine

Scope & Content: BA Archaeology dissertation submitted to the University of Liverpool. The study originated from the author's interest in Mesolithic flints on the Isle of Man and involvement as a volunteer on the Mesolithic excavation at Greasby, Wirral. The study attempts to identify the sources of flint and chert artefacts from Greasby by sampling the lithic content of the local glacial till and quarries in North Wales; also an attempt to place Greasby into the Mesolithic communities within the northern Irish Sea basin.
