Scope & Content: Environmental Geology undergraduate dissertation submitted to St Andrew's University. The dissertation analyses the heavy metals levels of water; soil samples were taken in the Laxey Valley down stream from the Snaefell Mines. Results show little contamination from the mines, but distinctive trends found in the results could be used as a hypothesis for the study of more significant mining areas.
