Administration / Biographical History: This archive is material relating to the parish map illustrations created by Nick Johnson for publication in Broderick G 2006 A dictionary of Manx Place-names Nottingham: English place-name society. Broderick provided draft master copies which then had to be checked against modern and earlier maps.

The archive contains final drafts for each parish along with early working copies, the quarterland farm boundaries and names were devised from the 1867 Woods Atlas. 17 final plans were produced for publication, one for each parish. The parish plans are each produced as isolated greyscale land masses with their contained quarterland farms divided up and named/listed.

They were published as illustrations in Broderick 2006.
