‘Pulrose United defeated Peel 1-0 in the Association Cup Final on Easter Monday (12th April) 1971 though one solitary goal from Ken Terry. Later on 3rd May 1971 they drew 1-1 at Marown in the Hospital Cup Second Round (winning the replay 6-0 four day later). I suspect that picture was taken on that occasion.’ (Colin Moore, 1 April 2020)

‘The lady in the photograph was our grandmother Dena Thompson nee Sayle and mother of Kenny Thompson who played for Pulrose United AFC. She was a staunch Pully fan rarely missed a home game and probably did bring the half time oranges. She served on the committee and I seem to recall washed the kit for a while as well. Pulrose won the league and FA Cup 1970/71 so they are likely to be the trophies.’ (David Goldsmith, 1 April 2020)
