Scope & Content: Start line photo of the 1922 Junior and Lightweight Race. The newly introduced Lightweight race was won by journalist Geoff Davison. Newcomer Wal Hadley set the fastest lap before breaking down. The Junior race was won by Manxman Tom Sheard - the first Manx TT winner. Stanley Woods was another newcomer - he finished 5th, even after being briefly set on fire when he pitted for fuel.
