Scope & Content: Leather bound notebook with pasted in newscuttings, correspondence and the winning competitor's ticket showing his split times at each church. Includes a lengthy letter from Louisa Clucas, Cotham Lodge, Cotham Park, Bristol thanking him for news of the walk and discussing the inscription of the trophy and other matters, 31 July 1913.

Administration / Biographical History: Harry Bridson won the 1913 walking race in a gross time of 18 hours 23 minutes (including 32 minutes taken for refreshments at Peel and Ramsey). He was competing for the Clucas trophy: Mr and Mrs G F Clucas had agreed to present a silver trophy to the value of £15 to the winner of the race.

Ten years later he competed against Gerald Bridson in two person walk to the seventeen churches but retired at Ballure Bridge. returning to Douglas by electric car.
