Scope & Content: Artwork includes ink and pencil drawings but is predominantly watercolours. Subject matter includes the Point of Ayre lighthouse (by Heather Pattison; also E Logue), bridge over Ramsey river, dusk near Shenvalla (M. Harper), Ballaugh old church, Peel castle and bay, Glen Dhoo, Rencell HIll, Laxey, Queen's Pier and bay, Ramsey, Niarbyl cottage doorway, Port St Mary harbour, Castletown harbour, deserted mine ruins, Ramsey harbour, shoreline north of Ramsey, windswept trees above Injebreck reservoir, Monks bridge, Ballasalla, the Ayres, Tholt-y-Will, assorted other landscapes, still life views of flowers and a head and shoulders pencil portrait of a woman, possibly Marjorie.
Pasted into the album is a newscutting and newspaper photograph reporting on the presentation and Marjorie's plans to relocate to Co Durham.
Administration / Biographical History: Marjorie Wilson was Vice President of the Mannin Art Group, a society based in Ramsey formed in 1949 that she helped rejuvenate. In her time (1970s-1990s) the members met in a hall on North Shore Road and later St Paul's Hall, Ramsey. Marjorie died in 2007.
