Administration / Biographical History: The inaugural general meeting took place at The Oban Private Hotel on 1 December 1960 where the decision was taken to form a club for the performing of Folk music, songs and ballads and that club should be called 'The MAnxx Ballads and Blues Club'. The committee voted in for the 1960/1961 season was President: John Kaneen, Chairman: Stuart Slack; Secretary and Treasurer: David Callister; Committee members: John Killip, John Callister, Ann Callister and Jimmy Kewin.
