Scope & Content: Barbara Price (aged 82) talks to Kirsty Neate about her memories of Castletown. Barbara recalls coming to the island in 1936 to work at the Buchan School and King William’s College as an art mistress. She talks about the people, shops and businesses of Castletown; living in Malew Road in rented accommodation and taking the decision to buy the late Mrs Hannay's house, Banyule House, from her sister Miss Fothergill; her artworks; Ronnie the removal man from Fisher's Hill; Mrs McGrath and the social scale of the town; Witches' Mill Museum in Castletown and Dr Gardener (the witch); her shop 'Pot Luck' in Arbory Stree; Mr Ormeroyd, the barber, whose shop it had been; Mr Eaton.
