Richard talks about working in the fishing industry from the age of 15 around 1980; [break in the recording from 3 min. 51 sec. to 5 min. 41 sec.]; loving being at sea despite his chronic seasickness; changes in the industry including fishing quotas, DTI regulation, rising costs, advances in technology and equipment and over-fishing; decline of the Manx fishing fleet due to competition from large boats from elsewhere; Manx crews and safety; the good times he had fishing.
