Specifications and elevation of gates and wall

Scope & Content: Specifications written in ink on the drawing, which is in pencil: 'A fence wall of the above kind to average about 3 ft 6 in high above the Road or 4 ft 6 in high including the foundation built with lime mortar and coped in the same manner as the sea wall will cost 2/6 p running yard in length, without including the price of the gates, whither iron or wood. Douglas 12th Jany 1825. NB. The length of the wall is 583 yard, say 2/6 p is £72.17.6'. There is also a further (rough) pencil sketch of the gate design.
