Scope & Content: An indication of the nature of the coast of the Calf, Kitterland and the mainland is given and many features are labelled. Buildings and small enclosed areas shown and a list of corresponding acreages is given. Extensive use of colour. The acreage of Kitterland is given also and the direction of flow of the tide around it are shown. Below the scale is 'Contents In English Statute Measure' and in 'Plantation Measure'.
Administration / Biographical History: In Ann Harrison's article on the Mathematical School in Peel, she states that Wilson was the second Master appointed and wrote from Whitehaven when he applied for the post. He taught John Corris (Journal of the Manx Museum Volume VII pp212-21). Wilson was married to Mary (died 1793, buried German 25.08.1793. Episcopal Will bundle 2) and had children John, Mary (married Joseph Sewel) and Isabella. He left a will (1798 Episcopal bundle 2) and he died in 1798.
