Scope & Content: A number of manuscript papers relating to the legal dispute between Philip Quilleash and James Quilleash, including: a copy of sale between Philip Quilleash and John Skillecorn; a copy of a sale between John Skillecorn and James Quilleash; extracts of documents containing the judgements of the Sheading jury, 13 October 1737, and the Traverse jury, 30 January 1737/38, both in favour of James; extracts taken from the 'Libri Monasteriorum,' originals dating 16 July 1740 and 23 July 1741, covering depositions before the House of Keys and their judgement that the previous judgements of the Sheading and Traverse juries were illegal; and a draft document that orders the reversal of the judgement by the House of Keys and the confirmation of the previous judgements [also see MS 09707/2/98].
