Scope & Content: A manuscript letter from John Quayle [the Younger], informing Humphrey Harrison that [John] Stevenson's case against the former Governor, Basil Cochrane, has been delayed; Quayle then reports that Thomas Richardson, at the Signet Office at Whitehall, who provides newspapers for Governor John Wood, has changed the publication from the 'General' to the 'St. James's Evening Post,' as requested by Wood; accompanying the letter is an account of the Duke of Atholl's payment due to Thomas Richardson for newspapers to the Isle of Man, from 16 March 1758 to 16 March 1762, which totals £9 14s.
