Scope & Content: A manuscript letter from the Duke and Duchess of Atholl's Stewards, Daniel Mylrea [the Younger] and John Quayle [the Younger], informing His Grace that they have inspected the mines at Foxdale, reporting that they are flooded and none of the miners are working; they go on to state that the vein there is very promising, so a pump should be installed so it can be worked, which will add considerably to the Duke's income; the remainder of the letter provides information on a remittance sent to His Grace, totalling £161 7s. 10d.
