Scope & Content: Contents comprise a typescript summary of Simon's published work and prizes as well as assorted anthologies within which his poetry appear; also resources related to his appearance at Manx Litfest 2022 (issue of magazine Gallery #104, itinerary for this 21-25 September 2022 event and text of 'Manx Poetry & Life - Simon Maddrell in conversation with Lisa Smith, Erin Arts Centre).

Submissions for poetry competitions are present such as 'Knockaloe Camp' (2023); also issue 1 of 150 limited first edition of 'Isle of Sin' (London, March 2023), signed by the author.

Administration / Biographical History: Simon Maddrell was born in Douglas, Isle of Man in 1965, raised in Bolton, Lancashire and after twenty years in London now lives in Brighton and Hove. His family owned Grenaby farm near Bride for 350 years. In 2002, after 12 years with Xerox, Simon founded and ran an award winning charity, Excellent Development. Having written poetry since 2012, Simon resigned in 2016 to focus full-time on writing and performing.

He writes as a queer Manx man, thriving with HIV. He focuses on spirituality, justice, equality, discrimination, mental health and politics; also land and ocean landscapes. Simon regularly performs spoken word. He acknowledges that he is driven by his Queer Manx identity.

While living off island for his adult life he has returned frequently and calls the Island home.
