Scope & Content: A manuscript letter from John Backhouse Jnr., informing the Duke of Atholl that he has given John Leigh the documents sent from the Isle of Man; Backhouse also reports that he has yet to take possession of the chamber clock bequeathed to His Grace by the late Mrs. Colquitt; also present is a copy of Leigh's letter to Backhouse, dated 25 April, acknowledging receipt of the documents from the island and stating his intention to send them on by mail coach the next day.
