Scope & Content: Two copies of a manuscript letter sent by the Duke of Atholl to the Home Secretary, Lord Sidmouth, covering a number of topics, including: the Lieutenant Governor's seizure of both the Duke's and Bishop's seats at Castletown Chapel, during the see's vacancy; a complaint that the Lieutenant Governor has not maintained a military force in Douglas; and a complaint that Robert Quilliam has spent nearly six months in Castle Rushen gaol, waiting trial, due to the absence of the Attorney General.
