Scope & Content: A manuscript copy of a statement made by the Manx Attorney General, William Frankland, declaring that he does not think it necessary for the Attorney General to conduct all prosecutions for the Crown in person; referencing the case of Robert Quilliam, who has been awaiting trial for a long time due to Frankland's absence from the island, the Attorney General states that no public prosecutor is needed for the case; Frankland also makes the argument that he is of more use as a Member of Parliament than a prosecutor on the isle; the statement is annotated with comments.
