Scope & Content: A manuscript letter from Deemster Moore, in his capactity as the Duke of Atholl's Commissioner of Revenue, providing His Grace with a report on what is going on with the Isle of Man's mines: in general they are not doing well, as the miners are complaining and not working properly; the work at Laxey has been dropped, but there are good prospects at Ballacorkish; and very little ore is being extracted at Foxdale, where the management is poor.
